Speights was the star of the preseason on defense for the Rams, playing so well that it earned him a spot on the 53-man roster after only two exhibition games. He has yet to play a defensive snap this season, but with Troy Reeder and Christian Rozeboom struggling as badly as they have, it might be time to give the undrafted rookie a look.

Despite the disappointment of the Rams' 24-19 loss, there were a few bright spots in the game and one of them was Blake Corum. Finally allowed out of the barn, Corum was impressive when given his opportunity.

Offensively, the Rams mostly kept the status quo. However, Blake Corum did take over as the No. 2 running back behind Kyren Williams. He replaced Ronnie Rivers in that role, playing a season-high 11 snaps in the 24-19 loss.
